Swine Flu checks in Bangalore International Airport and other Airports in India.

In the wake of World Health Organization’s chilling admission that the H1N1 swine flu virus can no longer be contained as it has spread far and wide Indian International airports have kicked off a massive Screening regime for all Passengers arriving from the US and UK at the Bangalore International Airport and other International Airports to check for presence of Swine Flu. 

With the Flu reaching alarming proportions in many countries, the screening was initiated on Tuesday itself in International Airports of Bangalore, Chennai, Mumbai and Delhi.  Airports in the North Eastern states have also been sent an advisory form the centre asking them to review their preparedness in handling the outbreak of influenza-like illnesses. 

On the other hand, Indian travelers have put off their plans of holidaying in the US and UK following concerns of swine flu could accelerate into a potential pandemic. 
 
India is however gearing itself to deal with swine flu in case of outbreak in India.  India has decided to triple its Tami flu reserves, which will cover 30 lakh people in case a pandemic.
